Location: Brussels (with European travel – 40–60%)

My client, a global leader in life sciences and pharmaceutical solutions, is looking for an Account Manager Pharmaceutical to strengthen their commercial presence and deliver sustained growth across OTC, generic, and Rx markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key accounts, work in an international environment, and contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of healthcare.
 
Job Description:
As an Account Manager Pharmaceutical, you will be the primary contact for strategic accounts and distributors across Europe. Your role will combine business development, relationship management, and strategic market insights.

  • Build and nurture long-term customer partnerships that drive revenue growth
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across a diverse pharmaceutical portfolio
  • Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and tradeshows across Europe
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Regulatory, QA, Technical Support) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Provide market intelligence on trends, competitors, and regulatory developments
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and CRM pipeline management
  • Resolve supply chain or customer service challenges swiftly and effectively

Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business or related field
  • > 5 years’ experience as an Account Manager in pharma ingredients, excipients, or related solutions
  • Strong network within the European pharmaceutical industry (innovators, generics, OTC, CMOs, CDMOs)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills at all levels
  • Native-level English; an additional European language is a strong plus (French/Dutch/German)
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools and MS Office
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% across Europe
