Job Description:
As International Account Manager Chemicals, you will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of strategic key accounts and distributors across Europe. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening long-term client relationships, and driving the growth of chemical products.
You will travel regularly within Europe (40–60% of your time), especially to Spain, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Israel, for client visits, seminars, trade shows, and internal meetings. This hybrid position is based in Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve.Candidate Profile:
- Manage and expand a portfolio of European key accounts and distributors.
- Identify new business opportunities, while upselling and cross-selling chemical ingredients.
- Provide strategic advice and tailored solutions to clients while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Prepare commercial offers, negotiate contracts, and follow up on sales performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product Management, Technical, Regulatory, QA) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Record all business activities in the CRM system and ensure accurate forecasting and demand planning.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulations to proactively seize opportunities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Business.
- At least 5 years of experience as an International Account Manager in the B2B pharmaceutical or technical products sector.
- Strong professional network within the European industry (innovators, generics, OTC/consumer, CMO/CDMO).
- Commercial mindset, combining hunter and farmer approaches.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Fluent in English (native level); additional European languages are an asset.
- Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office.
- Flexible, result-oriented, and well-organized.
- International role with autonomy and visibility in a fast-growing sector.
