The Role
Manpower is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the full day-to-day operation of the restaurant. You will lead the team on the floor while managing operational, financial and commercial performance, ensuring an excellent guest experience at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service

Oversee daily restaurant operations, including floor, bar and service flow

Ensure smooth, efficient and high-quality service at all times

Work closely with the kitchen to guarantee timing, quality and communication

Act as main point of contact for guests, reservations, special requests and complaints
-
Lead by example on the floor and during peak service moments
Team Management & Staff Planning

Create and manage staff schedules based on operational needs and sales forecasts

Optimise labour costs while maintaining service quality

Supervise attendance, overtime, holidays and shift swaps
-
Ensure appropriate staffing levels during busy periods and events
Recruitment, Training & Development

Recruit, onboard and train restaurant staff

Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions
-
Develop team skills in service, product knowledge and upselling

Foster a positive, accountable and performance-driven team culture
Financial & Performance Management
-
Manage daily financial administration and cash handling
-
Monitor and optimise key KPIs such as labour cost, food cost, average spend and table turnover

Analyse performance results and identify improvement opportunities

Control discounts, refunds and operational costs
Guest Experience & Brand Standards

Ensure a consistent guest experience aligned with brand standards

Handle VIP guests and special occasions

Actively engage with guests to build loyalty and satisfaction
Compliance, Hygiene & Safety

Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP)

Maintain accurate allergen information

Prepare the restaurant for audits and inspections
Candidate Profile:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality or restaurant management

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent communication and organisational abilities

Strong commercial and financial awareness

Hands-on, service-oriented and solution-driven mindset

Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
